Once more... I had never done this technique before and it took a few tries to get the layering just right! Were the first tries failures??? Heck no! They were opportunities to stretch!
I think out of all the cards in this challenge, this was the one that really made me stretch. I had never done dry embossing or made a shaker card but I just love the way this one turned out! You may not be able to see the embossing in this picture, but it is on the outside of the shaker window.
This one will definitely go to one of my favorite ghosts this year!
I had the best time this week participating in the My Favorite Things Stamp Camp Create. I had been wanting to do it for the first two, but life got in the way like it does sometimes. It was a wonderful way to really stretch my creativity and try some new ideas. There were some failures....well maybe not failures because I learned from them, but a real sense of accomplishment by the end of the week.
I had a blast. I hope those who participated had as much fun as I did and for those who didn't give it a whirl.
For this card, I used a Studio G 6x6 paper pack that I had purchased some time ago at Michaels. I remember thumbing through it and liking that it had so many different designs and patterns. I liked it so much I grabbed a blue pack also. I love this die.
Don't you think this camper would be perfect for a girl on a journey?
